Brum2600 Report 5th April 2008
Topics of discussion :
Identifiction in a world of mistrust
Docsis (modems, cable system, NTL and the like)
Ye Olde Technology
VAX/Unix/Linux/Windows as usual
Radio in general
Smartcards, Chip & Pin, secure entry systems
Night started off with ReLoad and co. seemingly hearding the West Brom. football fans just be standing there, strangly this
worked quite well, Transport police generally harassing people I guess was seen (photos are availible). Moved onto a rammed
Old, Joint, Stock and basically started chatting about this that and the over. ReLoad could not find a nob to put his hat on.
Upcoming venues were discussed for future BRUMCONS!
Discussed ye olde technology from "back in the day" I would like to take this oppurtunity to ask when was "back in the day"
since it seems to span a infinite period of time and seems to never end? so if someone has the answer to this please mail it in.
Reports pretty short because well, British Rail had no complaints forms so no one could write anything down, but we did have a
"I came here and I knew nothing, but now I know nothing ;)"
"Amigas are great"
"Always look where you sitting"
"Know your enemy"
